Recently bought a house in Hendersonville. The AC went out over the weekend suddenly. When we bought the place the home inspection report stated the unit was almost 20 years old & would probably need replacing, so we were expecting a huge bill to solve this problem. We contacted a few contractors. All seemed to want about $150 for the service call, & troubleshooting fee, plus any repair. Derryberry charge $99, so that seemed fairer. Chase, their tech, should up about 1 hour after the inquiry. Discovered the capacitor was bad, replaced it, & bingo, A/C works again. He was very up front staying with its age it could break again & had concerns that the motor might need replacing, so he did a quick test on it & found it was fine. All said & done, with the service/troubleshooting fee.... $200.

We had Derryberry's do an annual maintenance inspection yesterday. He was very thorough and courteous. We are new to the area and we had no idea who to call. I read many reviews on a lot of places and glad we chose Derryberry's!

Had a Mitsubishi mini split system installed by this company less than two years ago. Not long after the one-year anniversary it stopped producing cold air. They came out and tightened a loose fitting and charged a reasonable $99 trip fee. Two months later it stopped producing cold air AGAIN. They came out charging a $99 trip fee again since it was apparently a different issue. Since the product was still under warranty I did not have to pay for the blown circuit board however they charged an additional $150 for a 20 minute install on a separate trip. so I have spent $400 so far on a system that was installed by them. I asked if they would be willing to roll the diagnostic fee into the installation and they would not budge. Unfortunately they became very short with me. I have reason to believe that the first repair was an issue related to the initial installation. I will not be calling this company again.

Fantastic! Our a/c unit recently stopped working on a Sunday afternoon, so we left a message that we needed someone to come out. The next day a technician was on site and promptly determined that the blower motor was bad. Definitely not a minor repair, but it's something that needed to be taken care of before the temperatures started to soar again. They said they would need to order the part, so we slept on it and notified them the next day that we wanted to proceed with the repair. The part was ordered, and then we received a call the following day (Wednesday) that they were on the way to install it. Talk about a fast turnaround! The a/c was up and running in a short time and has been cooling perfectly since.
The technician was courteous and professional, and he did a fantastic job. He even left us with some adorable Post-It notes featuring Toby the company's mascot. The price was extremely reasonable and I am certain that I would not have found a better deal anywhere else. Got a coupon in the mail for a free bid for a heating unit. When I did not sign on to purchase it, they sent me a $99 trip fee.
At this point, I had not chosen who I would sign on with, but I certainly didn't after this. Their bid was the highest out of 7.
Oh, and their bill came with a threat of a contractors lien.

Hi Robin,
I'm sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with our service. After checking our records, I found where we came to your home on 2 separate occasions in 2022. One was a service request to check your duct work and one of your HVAC systems. Our phone records show that we explained the $99 trip charge to come out and check those items. Our technician came out and made recommendations for the duct work and 2 of your HVAC systems, but no work was completed at that time.
The second visit was about a month later, and that was a complimentary quote to install a new system in your bonus room. There was no charge for this quote.
Again, we don't ever want a customer to walk away unsatisfied, however I do feel the need to clarify that the charge for $99 was agreed upon before we came out to your home on the initial visit. That had nothing to do with the free estimate we provided a month later.

This is the best company of any type that we have dealt with since moving to the area a year ago! We have had to call them for a variety of reasons and they ALWAYS send someone out on the same day we call. And it's usually the same person. Their service call rate is very reasonable and their suggestions have lengthened the life of our system. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I just wish they were plumbers, painters, electricians, etc. ...

Had an emergency issue with my ac at like 6 pm on the hottest day of the year. They made it out at 8:00 am the next day and had it running! Communicated with me every step of the way. Would recommend these guys if you're having issues.

I can not say enough about this company!!!! I just needed some maintenance on my air conditioner to make sure it stayed healthy through the summer. I had contacted another big Air/Heat company and they kept rescheduling me, so I called Derryberry's. The lady I spoke with was so NICE! Plus she got me in the next day and the price was better! And they have a great maintenance plan price!! MUCH better than the other big company. The tech that came out went ABOVE and BEYOND, and even fixed some past mistakes from other companies ( I have a very old unit) He also gave me a lot of tips on keeping the unit healthy. I can not thank Derryberry's enough and will use them for my air and hearing in the future!!!

First of all I rarely ever leave business reviews and I almost hate to leave this review as I know it will make it that much harder to get them to come out when we need them next...
Moved in to a 15 year old house last summer and despite all the warranties and checks, our air conditioner went out 1 month later in the middle of July. Called another company who came out and after 2 weeks the problem
was finally fixed.
Fast forward to this summer when I know to expect our unit's will break if for no other reason than age...
Made a proactive call to Derryberry and got a quote to replace my units. Very expensive and I don't want to have to lay out that money if I don't have to yet.
Had their maintenance techs come out the following week in order to tell me just how bad my system was. Knowing that they gave me the replacement quote, I totally expected them to say the system was on its last legs and we got to it just in time.
Nope!!! Surprise!!! The tech took pics and showed me the system was in pretty good shape and still had some life in it!

Great, prompt service! Technician was polite and courtesy, not too chatty and focused on the task at hand.
Billing and payment was super simple with the invoice emailed and payment taken online at my convenience, not a technician taking financial information.
Problem was simple and resolved quickly.
The technician would not leave until he had tested the unit multiple times and in multiple ways. The final test had us waiting for awhile as my smart thermostat had entered a recalibration cycle. He wouldn't leave until he verified it one last time. This is what you want in a technician and service but rarely find - someone this committed.
